Anthropic PPTX Skill
Generate, read, and edit .pptx decks — speaker notes, layouts, and tables included.
Source: github.com
The pptx skill is the workhorse for anything PowerPoint-shaped. It can
parse existing decks, generate new ones from scratch, and round-trip edits
without breaking layouts.
What it’s good at
- Investor updates with consistent typography across 10–30 slides
- Internal reports that need tables, charts, and speaker notes
- Reading existing decks — extract text, comments, and structure
What’s surprising about it
- Round-trip editing keeps slide masters and layouts intact
- Speaker notes are first-class — you can ask for talk-track style
- Charts are real chart objects (editable in PowerPoint), not images
Pairs well with

Example prompt
Use the pptx skill to draft a 12-slide investor update for a Series B SaaS
company. Cover: traction, ARR growth, gross margin, expansion strategy,
hiring plan. Include speaker notes for each slide.
